Keeps trying to load images at random. Then blocks so that I cannot even quit the app. What a piece of utter garbage!!!!!!!!!

Simple, easy to use and efficient
It is that typical ugly aura at the high contrast borders that makes that worn out HDR look. But HDR doesn’t necessarily have to look like that. HDR with the right program is a very useful tool to make impossible images possible. But sorry with that holy glory aura it makes me feel nauseous. Cheap trick!
Sorry: its useless under El Capitan it crashes, if you try to save your HDR ….
The free version is good enough for me to do multiple exposures.
Have tried with different images it does nothing!
Very easy to use, works great! If You want make a HDR, you dont need photoshop - now HDRtist do everything! Just drag, drop, share.
MacUpdate.com just featured a "newer" version of this app than the one available here. But it turns out the newer version was released over four years ago. If youre looking for an HDR app, better look elsewhere.
I downloaded this application looking for a nice picture editor/viewer etc. I read up in the description how its compatible with lots of different picture file formats. The first picture I try to open crashes the application. I try it again. Crash. Once more, crash. Then I thought "Perhaps its just the file format of the picture," so I tried a couple other pics on my computer. Every single picture-without fail- crashed the application.
Works great for me. None of pictures crashed. Its fast, extremely easy to use and it has decent results for the price. You can easily adjust the srength of the HDR. Also includes a tutorial on how to create HDR photos of your own. Its pretty good for a free piece of software. Im not sure what the pro version does, but Im quite satisfied with this free version.
Ive been searching all over for the photo editor to make my photography look professional. I usually have to settle upon Picnik, but this is so much better! Theres not much to it, and its very simple to use. It brings out the color in your photo, and you can adjust the strength. (I like to put it on the highest strength possible) My pictures look amazing already and I love this! I can only imagine what the pro version is like.. :)
If you dont know what HDR is, learn more before you download this app. Just go read the WikiPedia page on High Dynamic Range Imaging, or even easier — check out the tutorial included with this app! That said, I took 3 bracketed photos I had in iPhoto, dragged them to this app, and *poof*, instant HDR. A single button automatically and perfectly aligned the photos, and a simple slider allowed for adjusting the amount of dynamic range. What could be easier? Great app, great price.
HDR software can be complicated and expensive, and it requires 3 to 5 identical shots with different exposures This app makes it super easy and free; it also does a great job of simulating HDR on single images using tone mapping by itself. On my iMac it imports JPGs and RAW files by drag and drop, no problem, and works like a charm. Note that HDR is only useful for certain types of shots. This software does the simplest possible HDR, but does it super fast and easy, and still allows you to vary the strength of the effect. If your camera cant be set to auto-bracket exposures, and if you cant at least mount it on a bean bag or mini-tripod with a self timer, you wont enjoy the multiple-exposure feature quite as much, but even then, you can align the images by hand. All in all, an awesome free app. I will be checking out the Pro version...
after download i open the app and i got stuck!!! my comp froze, first time happened to my MacPro 10.6 yaiks!
This unbelievably easy to use program is so much fun. It is definitely worth it. Experiment with loads of photos to get a feel for what works well in it. Cityscapes, clouds and night scenes are esp. good.
This works really nice. You set your camera to do exposure bracketing, taking 3 photos at once, with under, over, and normal exposure. Then load the photos into HDRist. If you took your photos holding the camera in your hand, then you will probably notice the resulting combined image is all blurred. No Problem! Just hit the "Align Photos" button and HDRist aligns them for a nice sharp image (some more expensive applications do not include this essential feature). Now, all the resulting HDR image shows nice light and detail. Some alternative applications, including some in-camera effects, will produce a distinctly surreal and unpleasant final product. But HDRist produces very nice final product. There doesnt seem to be any controls to adjust the final image, but Im pleased with the results without any adjustments.
Every time I try loading a .RAF file, it says it cant be loaded.
Great, simple, and light weight. Drag and drop single or multiple images into the interface and make an easy HDR. Plus its free. FREE!
I have used this app on many photos and have had amazing results. The only problem I came across was with some hand held shots I took would not align completely or in some instances one frame would be extremely cockeyed. Before I upgrade to the Pro version I would like to see you add some way to manually align the frames before HDRtist does its aligning. Great job developers. Keep up the good work.
I love this app. Very simple, but produces beautiful HDR photos. Cant beat it for the price!
